Which casinos put a number on verification, and which keep it at their discretion

Tables that sort crypto casinos by “verification threshold” imply that every operator publishes one. In the hundred-brand sample this site reads, five do. That is the entire stated-number population: Bitcasino.io, Sportsbet.io and Livecasino.io each name €2,500 in clause 6.6; Rocketpot names 0.05 BTC or $2,500 in clause 11.4; Empire.io names 2,000 USDT in clause 5.4. The other forty-four readable verification clauses contain no figure at all. This page is the audit of that difference.

Which operators put a number on verification?

Bitcasino.io, clause 6.6, requires additional identity checks on withdrawals exceeding €2,500 or the cryptocurrency equivalent, and notes that smaller withdrawals may also be checked as its gaming licence requires. Sportsbet.io, also clause 6.6, may perform additional verification on withdrawals larger than €2,500 or the crypto equivalent, and on smaller withdrawals at its discretion. Livecasino.io, again clause 6.6, can require identity documents on first deposit, before withdrawals are processed, and for any withdrawal exceeding €2,500 or the crypto equivalent.

Rocketpot’s clause 11.4 sets its threshold in two currencies: withdrawals exceeding 0.05 BTC or $2,500 may require verification, additional checks may be required over $2,000, and requested documents must be supplied within thirty calendar days. Empire.io’s clause 5.4 applies additional procedures to withdrawals above 2,000 USDT or the crypto equivalent, or to smaller withdrawals as its licence requires.

Three of these five sit at clause 6.6 with near-identical wording, and two of those three — Bitcasino.io and Livecasino.io — are registered to the same company on the same Curaçao licence, OGL/2023/111/0069. The apparent market standard of €2,500 is, in part, one drafting office repeated. Note also that every stated number is written in euros, dollars or USDT, never bitcoin, except the second half of Rocketpot’s clause, so its two halves drift apart whenever the exchange rate moves.

What do the other forty-four readable clauses say instead?

Verification wording could be read at forty-nine of the hundred brands. Forty-four of those forty-nine contain no figure. What they contain instead is a permission, and it recurs almost word for word: the operator may request documents at any time, at its sole discretion, and may restrict access, payment or withdrawal until identity is established to its satisfaction. Stake’s clause 4.8 may request documentation at any time to determine identity and location, and may restrict service or withdrawal until identity is sufficiently determined. Shuffle’s clause 4.1 refers to an AML policy describing a risk-dependent threshold with no amount stated. Metaspins’ clause 9.7 requires verification when gambling reaches an unspecified threshold.

A number is a fact about the contract; a discretion is a fact about who decides. Sorting by “KYC threshold” converts the second into the first, and forty-four rows have to be invented for that sort to work. The distinction matters to anyone comparing how much of the decision an operator has kept for itself. For a closer look at what these operators choose to publish — and what they do not — see what crypto casinos publish.

Which brands advertise that no check exists?

A small group states the absence of verification on its own pages. LTC Casino says no verification or documents are required and that players can withdraw without verification; its terms do not mention identity verification at all. Mega Dice states that no KYC is required and that only an email address is needed at registration. Sportbet.one offers anonymous betting with no KYC requirements. CoinPoker markets itself as no-KYC, yet its responsible-gambling policy says it may ask users to verify identity or freeze accounts until verified. Rakebit’s terms require KYC documents on a first withdrawal while its homepage FAQ says standard withdrawals are processed without documents — a conflict the page records as written.

Fifty-one brands have nothing in this column at all. That means the clause could not be read, not that no clause exists. Where a statement was read from a live page or an archived copy, the distinction is recorded on the list of crypto casinos still online.

Where does Britain appear in the same documents?

Of the thirty-eight restricted-country lists that could be read, twenty-nine name the United Kingdom. Short lists include it: Windice’s list of nine, LeeBet’s list of eight, JacksClub’s list of ten, Nitrobetting’s list of six. Thirty-two of the thirty-eight name the United States, the largest single entry in the frequency count. Curaçao itself appears on twenty-five, which is to say that operators commonly exclude the jurisdiction that licensed them.

The comparison of those lists, country by country, is set out on the restricted-country list comparison. These are documentary facts about what an operator’s own terms say about who it says it does not serve, and nothing more is drawn from them here.

What do none of these clauses settle?

Where a threshold exists, it is a floor for extra checks, not a ceiling on ordinary ones: all five stated numbers are written so that smaller withdrawals may be checked as well. No clause read says what happens to a balance if documents are never supplied, beyond suspension of service. The reading is a snapshot of published text, and terms are redrafted.

A number and a discretion are different kinds of commitment to a customer.

A threshold is one clause of several, and it means little without the rest of the contract around it. The licence, the operating company, the restricted-countries list and the withdrawal ceiling are compared alongside it in our crypto casino UK table, and the brands that publish most of the four are ranked on our best crypto casino UK page.
